The book launch for Ken Newport’s debut novel No Dress Rehearsal was a great success, with the date of the launch scaring away no one (it took place on Friday the 13th.)
Held at Books on Beechwood, Ken signed copies of his book for nearly two hours before retiring to the nearby Clocktower Brew Pub to rest his hands. Or at least give them a different sort of repetitive motion exercise to perform.
The crowd stayed at the Brew Pub long after the official book-launch had ended, an auspicious, and perhaps appropriate beginning for a book that gets its title from a song by the Tragically Hip, Canada’s best-ever bar band.
