As our second year draws to a close, many thanks to all the people that have supported Ottawa Press and Publishing during the past twelve months.
Author David McGee and his book Lost Ottawa were the runaway success story of this Christmas season. Lost Ottawa was the top-ranked book in Indigo’s “local interest” category, a nation-wide category, for three weeks in December.
Thank you to everyone who attended a Lost Ottawa book signing, and all the Indigo, Chapters, Coles and independent stores that arranged the events.
Author Ron Corbett had his book Ragged Lake featured in the Ottawa Sun and Ottawa Citizen at the end of the year. You can find the story, and video, here: http://ottawacitizen.com/news/local-news/former-sun-scribe-draws-on-old-notebook-travels-in-new-novel
We would like to thank all the editors, designers, photographers, archivists, printers and writers that were involved in Ottawa Press and Publishing projects in 2017. Special thanks, and season’s best wishes, go out to Magdalene Carson, Julie Oliver and Laurier Blanchet.
Thank you to everyone who bought a book. As the success of Lost Ottawa and Ragged Lake has shown, there is a desire and a place for regional publishing in this country. Thank you for supporting the idea of locally sourced books.
We look forward to more exciting projects at Ottawa Press and Publishing in 2018, and wish you and your family a Happy New Year.
